Geography: lies in the center of Eurasia, is approximately at equal distance from the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. At 2,717,300 square kilometers, Kazakhstan is ninth in size among the world countries and second among the CIS countries, being preceded only by Russia. A large part of the land is the step landscape that stretches from Europe to Siberia. In other parts there are forests, mountains, lakes and rivers.
